Cyber Punk TS100 Watch
The TS100 watch by Cyber Punk is a Tokyo Flash speciality. When I first saw this watch, it was more of "eh, that's kind of cool, I guess" attire to it. It stood out, but it wasn't a note worthy stand out. I haven't used a wrist watch in quite some time. I'm a big fan of analog watches and I would always buy ones with a leather wrist strap. I wash my hands a lot, and the leather would rub on my wrist, giving me rashes. This watch is different. It's a digital watch and everything is metal.
After thinking it over for a bit, I decided that maybe it was time for a new watch. But what watch to get? I saw this watch, but it wasn't anything spectacular... or was it? This watch grew on me over time. The watch has a certain feature that just rings home to me. My profession of choice is electronics, so anything involving LED's makes me a little giddy. Tokyo Flash, for one reason or another, didn't have the watch available while Amazon does. The kicker here is that Amazon sells watches for Tokyo Flash. Also, Amazon's selling price is much cheaper than what Tokyo Flash is advertising it for.
The specs on this watch are quite simple. I'm not going to go too hardcore into the specifics, as I don't know of many people who care about the different materials for each part of the watch, or their length and width.
I'm really not going to go into detail with all of the different specs, like clasp length and other retarded stuff that the average joe doesn't care about it.
The only downfall I've found with this watch is not the lack of features (I don't need all of that stupid shit, like what time it is in london, or what the weather is, date and time is good enough for me), but the visibility in natural light. In artificial light, or no light, reading the watch is very easy. In natural light, the LED's aren't very visible, which, unfortunately, not much can be done about that.
The upside to the watch is that it's very stylish. Do you need a quick conversation piece? An easy way to break the ice with someone after being introduced? This watch certainly fills that void. However, it's not the only reason to buy this watch. For me, I love technology, and anything that uses solid-state electronics gets me hot. If you're a big geek like me and want a watch, check this thing out. It grows on you very quickly!
