My sister and her boyfriend went on vacation for near a week. I said, "What the heck? I'll take some pictures!" And pictures I did take.
Callie Frisky Kitty Cat Louise
Callie (cal-lee) is my sisters cat. Callie is a very big girl. I believe she's around 20 pounds now, which to me is enormous. The vet keeps telling her to put her on a diet, but that doesn't seem to work. Unfortunately Callie is a bit unfriendly around people. We've done a lot to try and change that, but she isn't completely cured. My sisters first husband wasn't so nice to this particular cat. It's a shame because she's a fairly nice cat when she isn't being a complete bitch.
In the picture to the left she is playing with some string. Getting her to be playful enough to, but not overly playful where she starts growling and hissing, so I could have her pose long enough was tricky. However I was lucky enough to do it on the first try. The picture on the right, I saw my cat sneaking over. It seems he wanted in on the action.
Frisky is my little baby. He's approximately 16 years old. We adopted him from the pound when he was about 10 weeks old. He was the runt of his litter. Everyone says he used to look like a little rat because he was all ears, but I thought he was cute. He tends to be annoying as hell when there's food about. It may not look like we feed him, but he eats all the damn time. His main interests tend to be food, sleeping, and acquiring attention. He used to be a playful little scamp, but I believe those days are long gone; that is not to say that he never plays, but he doesn't want to be noticed while he does it.
Kitty Cat is our resident stray that we found oh so many years ago. My mom used to run a daycare center. One day she was taking a walk with one of the children she used to watch. The little girl saw a cat and started saying "come here kitty cat!", and well the cat followed! We tried to find the cats owner, but to no avail. We found this to be strange since the cat was a very friendly one and was obviously house trained. About one year ago we found out that he had diabetes. In reality, he's probably had diabetes since we've had him. It's a little sad because he's going blind and is quite feeble at times. We just recently found out that he has heart murmurs. In his younger days he used to be a very playful guy. He would chase you around the house, chase string, jump five feet in the air to catch a feather, anything that was amusing, he would do. He has clearly seen his better days, but he's still alive and kicking. If there's a hint of food, he'll pratically jump in your lap just to get near it.
Unfortunately he isn't very photogenic, so the pictures are few.
Louise is the cat of my sisters boyfriend. She's less than two years old. She's like your average young cat, very playful. She has a very demanding personality. If your attention is what Louise wants, it's your attention she gets. It might be a simple meowing at for the next five minutes, or it might be her doing that and rubbing up against you. And she expects you to follow her. She's a cute little thing, really. The only thing you can't do with her is pick her up and hold her. Her claws come out in force.
